  • In 89.0 innings pitched, Roth had an ERA of 3.13
  • Recorded 78 strikeouts and only gave up 8 walks
  • Was ninth in the country in strikeout-to-walk ratio at 9.75

As a Sophomore – 2017:

  • Made 14 appearances with 6 starts
  • Posted 5-1 record with 1 save and 3.28 ERA
  • Had 8 walks and 45 strikeouts in 57.2 innings
  • Earned first win at Christopher Newort, going 2.1 innings in relief with 2 hits, 1 run, 2 strikeouts
  • Tossed shutout at home in second start, allowing 7 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings with season-high 10 strikeouts
  • Allowed 2 hits, 1 walk, 1 run, 5 strikeouts in 9 innings vs. nationally-ranked Shenandoah

Personal: Roth transfered from St. Joseph’s University where he played baseball… Roth attended Benedictine High School where he lettered three years in baseball… He was named to the 2nd Team All-State as a junior and 1st Team All-State his senior year.
