- Earned bachelor of science degree in health and physical education/biology from Madison College in 1960
- Earned master’s degree in special education from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1970
- Helped establish the women’s athletics program at RMC
- Full professor of health & physical education, developed the physical education program and was chair of the department
- First woman hired full-time in the RMC athletic department and worked from 1972-2000.
- First female coach at RMC, leading the women’s tennis program from 1972-92 and the aquatics program from 1972-96.
- ODAC Women’s Tennis Coach of the Year in 1988.
- Women’s Athletic Coordinator and Senior Administrator from 1990-97.
- Served as cheerleader sponsor from 1972-85.
