Eades was a member of the Randolph-Macon Football program from 1977 to 1980.  During that time, Eades was a two-time ODAC Player of the Year, First-Team All-ODAC selection and stands as the only Yellow Jacket to be named a First-Team All-American on two occasions, a honor he was bestowed following his junior and senior seasons.  Eades was a member of two ODAC Championship teams in 1978 and 1979 under R-MC Hall of Famer Ted Keller.
