Basketball
Induction: 1997
- Four-sport letterman at R-MC.
- Virginia college leader in scoring in basketball in 1928-29, 1929-30 & 1930-31.
- Set Virginia state college record for scoring in 1930.
- All-State Second Team in basketball in 1929-30 and 1930-31.
- President of his freshman and sophomore classes.
- Served on the Student Council.
- Vice President of the Monogram Club.
- Member of the Franklin Literary Society.
- Brother of Phi Delta Theta social fraternity.
- Served in the U.S. Navy.
- Following graduation, coached and taught in public schools.
- R-MC head coach in basketball and track in 1953. Also an assistant football coach.
